π» Bill Mahin, retired Kansas Bostwick Irrigation District employee is your guide for this irrigation canal tour! The caravan-style tour will leave at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 6th from the Lovewell Marina & Grill parking lot 2400 Webber Rd, Webber, KS 66970.
πΊοΈ You will be responsible for driving your own vehicle on gravel or dry dirt roads following us in a lead car. We will be guiding you to multiple stops on the 17-mile drive from Lovewell Lake to the Irrigation Ales taproom. Return travel is up to you and your group. We expect the tour to last 1.5 hours.
π¦ The cost of the tour is $5 per person or $20 per car, whichever is cheaper. You will see multiple facets of the KBID irrigation canal system, how it was constructed in the 1950s, and how water is delivered to area farmers in one of the largest surface water irrigation districts in the state.
π We suggest showing up early to the Lovewell Marina & Grill and enjoy a great meal with a deck view of the lake or eat beforehand. Find their Facebook page here with menu -https://www.facebook.com/lovewellmarina.
π» Irrigation Ales taproom opens at 12:00 pm we would love to have you enjoy a beer after the tour and explore our murals, irrigation-inspired beers, and taproom.
